Dr. Rishikesh Pandey is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (since July 30, 2024) in the Department of Biosciences & Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where he leads the BRIGHT lab.
His research advances the development and clinical translation of cutting-edge biophotonic technologies, with emphasis on Raman spectroscopy, label-free imaging, AI-driven virtual histology, and cancer diagnostics.
Dr. Pandey obtained his Ph.D. in Raman Spectroscopy in 2013 from the Indian Institute of Science and subsequently held postdoctoral positions at the University of Pittsburgh (2012-2013) and the G. R. Harrison Spectroscopy Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA (2013-2016).
Before joining IIT Roorkee, he served as Chief Scientist at CytoVeris Inc., USA (2019–2024), and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, USA (2016–2019).
